God Remembers Noah – Genesis 8

The ark didn’t save Noah, God did. Noah’s faith wasn’t in a vessel of wood and pitch but rather in the Almighty God, who – even as His wrath poured forth judgment on mankind and creation – displayed His infinite goodness and grace.

At A Glance…

  1. God Remembers Noah
  2. Noah Waits Upon God
  3. God Commands Noah
  4. Noah Worships God
  • 1 John: “No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws them, and I myself will raise them up in the last day.”
  • Noah worships God. He knows that it is only through God’s grace that he was invited on that ark.
  • Worship is the only appropriate response to God’s grace.
  • If you are in Christ, God remembers you. Never for an instant are you away from His thoughts (Psalm 139:17-18).
  • But in Christ, God also forgets: “I, even I, am the one who wipes out your transgressions for your own sake. I will not remember your sins.” (Isaiah 43; see also Hebrews 10:17)
